Custom software, built around what you actually need.

From a new web app to automating the work that eats your week, or putting AI to practical use, I design, build, and support software for businesses and people with a problem worth solving.

01Sound familiar?

Good software starts with a real problem.

These are all solvable. Some call for a new application, some for a small fix in the right place. Part of my job is figuring out which.

  1. 01You have an idea for an app or tool, and need someone to build it properly.
  2. 02The same information gets typed into two or three different systems.
  3. 03A critical process depends on one spreadsheet, and the one person who understands it.
  4. 04You’ve heard AI could help your business, but not where it actually fits.
  5. 05Your systems don’t talk to each other, so people do the connecting by hand.
  6. 06Software someone built years ago is hard to change, and nobody wants to touch it.

03AI integrations

Practical AI that earns its place.

Used well, AI gives a small team abilities that used to take a much bigger one: reading paperwork in seconds, answering questions from your own documents, drafting the first version of routine writing. The difference is in applying it to a real task and checking that it works.

  • Pointed at a real task, not added for its own sake
  • Tested on your own examples before anyone relies on it
  • A person stays in the loop wherever accuracy matters
  • Services and settings chosen with your data and privacy in mind
More on AI integrations
  • READ

    Read documents for you

Pull the details out of invoices, forms, PDFs, and emails and put them where they belong.

Example: Invoice PDF → vendor, date, line items

  • ASK

    Answer from your own information

An assistant that searches your manuals, policies, and past work, and shows where each answer came from.

Example: “What’s our return policy on custom orders?” → answer + source

  • DRAFT

    Write the first draft

Quotes, emails, summaries, and reports drafted from your data, then reviewed by a person before they go out.

Example: Job notes → customer-ready quote, ready for review

  • ROUTE

    Sort incoming work

Read incoming requests, tag them, and send them to the right person or system automatically.

Example: New email → tagged “warranty”, sent to service

04How a project works

A clear path from problem to working software.

  1. Talk it through

We start with how the work gets done today: who does what, where information lives, and where it breaks down.

  2. Agree on a plan

You get a written scope in plain language: what will be built, what won’t, and a realistic estimate of time and cost.

  3. Build in stages

You see working software early and often, so we can adjust while changes are still cheap.

  4. Launch and support

I help roll it out to your team, document how it works, and stay available for fixes and improvements.

05Recent work

A look at recent projects.

Two examples of the kind of work I do, with client details kept confidential.

All work

01Azure · Data ingestion · Proof of concept

Industrial asset management platform

An Azure-based platform that reads equipment information from PDF, Excel, and CSV files, matches it to existing records, and keeps each asset’s service history intact.

  • Microsoft Azure
  • PDF / Excel / CSV
  • Record matching
  • Service history

02Desktop app · NetSuite integration

Repair management with NetSuite

A desktop application that runs the repair workflow, pulls order information from NetSuite instead of retyping it, and generates PDF documents from each repair.

  • NetSuite
  • Repair workflow
  • Order data
  • PDF generation

06Why an independent developer

One person, accountable from start to finish.

  • You talk to the person building it

No account managers or hand-offs. The person in the meeting is the person writing the code.

  • Plain language

Clear explanations of options, trade-offs, and progress, without jargon.

  • Built to be maintained

Sensible, well-supported technology and documentation, so the system outlives the project.

  • Honest about fit

If an existing product would solve your problem for less, I’ll tell you.
