●About

I’m Alex. I build software around what people need.

Background

I’m an independent software developer based in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. I build software for businesses and people with a problem worth solving: a tool that doesn’t exist yet, a process that eats hours every week, or systems that don’t talk to each other.

That can mean a new web or desktop application, an integration that stops people retyping information, a cleanup that turns scattered spreadsheets into a database you can trust, or AI built into a workflow to read documents, draft routine writing, or answer questions from your own information.

Recent projects include a repair management application integrated with NetSuite and an Azure-based platform that turns equipment documents into a clean, searchable asset register with service history intact.

Working independently means you get a direct line to the developer. I’ll ask a lot of questions about how your business actually works, explain options in plain terms, and build something your team can depend on, then stick around to support it.

01What I’m good at

Where I’m most useful to a business.

  • 01

    Turning ideas into working software

Most of the work happens before any code: understanding what you need, including the exceptions and workarounds nobody wrote down.

  • 02

    Messy, real-world data

PDFs, spreadsheets, and exports from older systems rarely line up. Making sense of imperfect information is a large part of what I do.

  • 03

    Connecting systems

Getting an ERP such as NetSuite to share information with the tools people use every day, so nobody has to retype it.

  • 04

    Cloud systems on Azure

Hosting, storage, databases, and automated processing on Microsoft Azure, set up so it is understandable and maintainable.

  • 05

    Practical AI

Building AI into software where it does a specific job well, and testing it on real examples before anyone depends on it.

  • 06

    Clear communication

Plain-language updates, honest estimates, and a straight answer when something will take longer or cost more than expected.

02How I work

Small enough to care. Serious about the work.

I take on a limited number of projects at a time so each one gets real attention. Every engagement starts with understanding the problem, not with a pitch for a particular technology.

I keep client work confidential. That’s why the case studies on this site describe what was built and how it works, without naming customers or showing their data.

Let’s talk about what you’re working on.

Tell me what you have in mind. I’ll tell you honestly whether custom software is the right answer, and what it would take.
